The Student Impact Model

leave a comment »

The student impact model is a way of thinking that focuses all of our problem solving around the people who matter most in a classroom- the students. Working backwards, we think through gaps in student achievement data, the associated student actions, and finally land on the teacher actions that are contributing to the student gap. The student impact model is a way of thinking that ensures our professional development is well-aligned to the outcome we wish to see in our students and allows us to prioritize our development. Below is a document that will walk you through each step of the student impact model from looking at your student achievement data to prioritizing a teacher action to focus your efforts on.
